The Raging Grannies adopt a new persona – crazy old ladies in crazy hats – and instead of preaching they’d sing satiric songs. Their targets would be anyone threatening peace and they’d go anywhere – best of all where they were not invited.
From peace issues, their focus grew to include environment & social or economic justice – they try to adopt the First Nations’ principle of thinking in terms of seven generations to come. There are now more than 70 ‘gaggles’, most of them in Canada.
